Lake Rules

Please read the following rules before committing:

  • Please take care of all Catches.
  • Maximum of 3 rods per angler.
  • Never leave your rods unattended to walk around the lake or to come to dining area. Always real in and leave your rods out of the water.
  • All fish to be by use of the sling provided only. Nets are for netting, slings are to transport your catch from the water to the cradle and then back into the water. (PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE FISH VIA ANY OTHER METHOD).
  • No sacking of fish in hot weather (please follow our hot weather protocol, which can be found inside each cabin).
  • No predator fishing.
  • Make sure receiver’s are working to ensure you do not miss a bite during the night.
  • Unhooking mats to be used at all times.
  • Carp care kits MUST be used on every fish caught.
  • No fixed leads of any kind- regular rig checks will take place. If in doubt please ask, we are always happy to help and advise.
  • DO NOT leave rigs or hook baits unattended at anytime. If you are leaving your peg please make sure hooks and rigs are out of harms way to ensure the safety of Animals/Wildlife.
  • No littering- please use the bins provided.
  • No excessive drinking of alcohol permitted at anytime.
  • No glass bottles to be taken or used near the waters edge.
  • No braided mainline to be used, with the exception of Spod and Marker work.
  • No snag leaders to be used.
  • Minimum of 15lb breaking strain mainline to used at all times.
  • Maximum 3.5oz leads to be used at all times.
  • No swimming in the lake.
  • No bent hooks to be used, again If in doubt please ask, we are always happy to help and advise.
  • No fires to be lit under any circumstances.
  • No BBQ’s other than the use of the BBQ provided.
  • Please respect fellow anglers and keep the noise/music levels to a minimum.
  • Please do not use the bankside as a toilet, please use the toilets provided. (ANYBODY SEEN URINATING AROUND THE LODGES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.
  • The use of Baitboats are no longer permitted on Pine Tree Lakes (with the exception of medical issues and/or disabilities, in which case please call and talk to us)

We expect all anglers/parties to respect all the rules and behave in an appropriate manner whilst on our property, we reserve the right to take appropriate action to remove any person not complying with the rules. Please remember that these rules are in place to ensure the safety of all our guests and our venue (including our fish stock). Follow the rules, stay safe and we hope you have a lovely experience while visiting Pine Tree Lakes.
